A motorist who had been stabbed in a fight ou! tside of a Queens banquet hall Saturday intionally plowed his car into a crowd as he drove away, killing one man and critically injuring two young women, police sources said.

The motorist, Kevin Weekes, 20, was charged Sunday with one count of murder. He had been knifed outside of Visions of New York, on Merrick Blvd. near 225th St. in Laurelton, about 8:30 p.m., police sources said.

"It was vicious," said Tasha Gresham, 36, who was at a nearby 7-11 and saw the fight outside of the banquet hall. She said it appeared to have started inside.

"They started beating the hell out of him," she added. "They were throwing glasses in the street."

Weeks broke free from his attackers and ran around the corner, where it is believed he got into a Nissan Altima. Moments later, the car came charging around the corner, jumped a curb and rammed into three people as they stood along Merrick Blvd., Gresham said.

One of the three, Kevin Lewis, 20, was run over and wound up underneath the car, in the middle of the street. Responding firefighters and paramedics used an air bag to lift the Nissan off of the victim enough to free him, but he was already dead, police said.

Two young women, Kiana Solomon, 19, and Antoinette Green, 21, were rushed to Jamaica Hospital and listed in critical condition, police said. Green suffered head and leg injuries; Solomon suffered back and neck injuries.

It was not clear if the three were connected to the fight.

Weekes fled the scene on foot and was apprehended a short time later at his home on 204th St. in Queens, police sources said. In addition to the murder count, Weekes was charged with assault and reckless endangerment on Sunday.
