A 17-year-old boy was killed in a single car motor vehicle crash on Manomet Road near High Street in Winchester Saturday morning, police said.
Winchester Police and Fire Departments responded to the scene around 7 a.m. Winchester Fire transported the victim to Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, where he was pronounced dead.

Early signs indicate that Gill was driving east on Manomet Road when his car exited the roadway and crashed. The Massachusetts State Police Accident Reconstruction Division will be assisting in the investigation, which is ongoing.
Public safety on Winchester's roads has been a topic in the community recently. Earlier this month, Winchester selectmen approved the installation of "No turn on red" signs at the dangerous intersection of Church, Bacon, and Fletcher streets, part of a larger MassDOT plan to reconstruct several intersections in that town,WickedLocal reports.
That intersection is approximately a mile from the scene of Saturday's crash.
Community members have started a memorial at the crash site, and a non-denominational prayer service is set to take place at 7 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Church in Winchester.
Students will also be able to meet with counselors in the high school cafeteria until 4 p.m. Saturday, and from 12-4 p.m. on Sunday, according to NECN.
