Cops scoured the city early Sunday after a thief swiped a car in Queens with a helple! ss toddler still inside, authorities said.

The child was found unharmed at Corona Ave. and 98th St. in Corona, near where the blue Hyundai rental car was stolen. The 2-year-old, Gabriella, was reunited at about 2 a.m. with her mom, who said she was elated to have the little girl back.

"They have the car and they have the baby," a police officer at the scene said.

The child's mother left the keys in the car with Florida plates as she ran into the Pacifico Food Corp. on E. 108th St. at 49th Ave. to buy diapers at about 12:30 a.m., officials said.

She quickly bought the diapers and left, but when she came out, the car — and her child — were gone.

The woman ran back into the store crying, according to a clerk who wished not to be identified.

"Somebody took my baby!" she screamed.

Both little Gabriella and the car were found after an hour and a half of searching. The child was fine, police said, while the car appeared to have a broken window.

Cops conducted both a citywide search for the car as well as a block-by-block search believing that the thief abandoned the car once he realized a child was inside.

The thief was still at large early Sunday.
